ALLOW VISITORS TO INTERACT WITH INSTALLATIONS USING THEIR OWN PHONES
PROGRESSIVE WEB APPS.
BELOW IS A SERIES OF RESEARCH, IDEAS AND EXPERIMENTS WITH PWAs.
Since a progressive web app is a type of webpage or website known as a web application, there is no requirement for developers or users to install an application on their phone.

User controls the content
A fun 2 player game. However, developed systems could incorporate additional players for a more collaborative experience.
Gestures can be used to generate graphics and animations. Allowing users control over projection mapped surfaces or LED panels.
DATA LATES EXHIBITION
PWA LIVE TEST
It was great to have our work projection mapped across the windows at Inspace as part of Data Lates during the Fringe, 2019. We created a mini series of generative design experiments; real-time graphics which can be instantly altered and influenced by onlookers with a simple PWA hosted at www.ray.scot

Concept for LED sculpture with PWA integration
Interactive sculpture that plants trees
Tree x Tree is a collaboration with Biomorphis, a concept developed for Amsterdam Light Festival 2020. The installation was to be a beacon of hope and a celebration of our collective efforts to turn the tide against environmental devastation. The interactive sculpture would allow its viewers to participate in two ways: first, by instantly controlling the play of light on its surface; second, by learning about and contributing to the piece’s veryown real-world forest, which would be established and managed by the reforestation group Tree Nation. The public could contribute while interacting with the sculpture.
